Marketing prompts
Prompts for copywriting, campaign planning, email and ad variants, landing pages, and brand voice work.
Marketing work lives and dies on volume and variation, which is exactly where AI earns its keep. The prompts here cover the daily output of a working marketer: cold outreach emails, LinkedIn posts, SEO blog outlines with PAA questions, A/B subject lines, landing page copy from hero to CTA, Meta ad variants, and 30-day content calendars. There are also sharper, less obvious plays — mining voice-of-customer language out of reviews, building a brand voice guide, and writing real estate listings that don't recycle the same five adjectives.
AI is genuinely good at the first-draft problem and at producing many angles fast: give it your offer and it will hand you curiosity, benefit, and urgency versions to test. What it can't do is know your actual numbers, your customer's real objections, or whether a claim is true. Treat every output as a starting point, fact-check anything specific, and run the variants past real data rather than your gut.
What makes a good marketing prompt
Strong marketing prompts carry the context AI can't guess: who the audience is, what one action you want them to take, the offer's actual differentiator, and the voice you write in. "Write an ad" gets you mush; "Write three Meta ad variants for time-strapped founders, problem-solution-proof angles, leading with the 10-hour-a-week time saving" gets you something testable.
The best prompts also ask for multiple angles and a rationale per variant, so you're choosing between framed options instead of editing one mediocre draft. Feed it real customer phrasing pulled from reviews or sales calls, and the copy stops sounding like a template.
Get sharper results
- 01Paste in real customer reviews or support tickets and ask the model to extract recurring pain phrases, then build your headlines and ad copy from that exact language rather than your own assumptions.
- 02Always request 3-6 variants across distinct angles (curiosity, benefit, urgency, contrarian) so you have something to A/B test instead of one draft you'll over-edit.
- 03Give the model your brand voice guide or three sample posts up front so output matches your existing tone instead of defaulting to generic LinkedIn-speak.
- 04Never ship AI-generated stats, testimonials, or specific claims without verifying them — the model will invent plausible-sounding numbers that can sink an ad account or a press release.
Common questions
Will Google penalize my site for using AI to write blog content?
Google's stance is about quality and helpfulness, not whether a human or model typed the words. AI-assisted outlines and drafts are fine, but thin, unedited, near-duplicate output is what gets flagged. Use the model for structure and first drafts, then add genuine expertise, real examples, and editing before publishing.
How do I keep AI copy from sounding generic and obviously machine-written?
Generic output usually means a generic prompt. Specify the exact audience, the one action you want, a concrete proof point, and your voice — and paste in real customer language. Then cut the throat-clearing intros and hedge words AI loves; those are the biggest tells.
Can AI write ad copy that's actually compliant and won't get my account flagged?
It can draft compliant-sounding copy, but it doesn't know platform policy or whether your claims are substantiated. Treat every superlative, guarantee, and statistic as something you must verify against your own data and the platform's rules before it goes live.
